To kick off the new year and for our first blog we thought we would tackle an issue that we get quizzed about…. a lot. A common question that we are often asked when surveying a new site for regular cleaning is “How can I improve the look of my stone or tiled floors”
Generally a tiled or stone floor looks dirty as a result of either
- Poor cleaning practises
- Insufficient cleaning of the surface
- Over use of cleaning products
In most situations, tiled and stone floors can be restored to their former glory but keeping them that way is the challenge. First, address the points above regarding the general service.
Second, if the flooring material is a particularly porous material, then it’s inevitable that they will return to the former state with the possibility of immovable stains becoming a problem.
The answer may be to restore and then seal your floors.
